Hybrid Digital/Traditional Production Artist/Designer needed in Halifax.

What’s a hybrid digital/traditional production artist/designer (and, breathe)? Well, it’s kind of like the love child of a highly talented production artist and the inventor of the internet.

Joining our tight knit team in Halifax, you’re able to meet out Art Director at a high level, executing a range of ideas from traditional billboard campaigns to bringing wireframes to life with beautiful user interface design, and everything in between. This means that you are equally skilled in both traditional and digital design.

At Famous Folks, we’re interested in what you have to say. Instead of locking you in a room and paying you to pump out work, you’ll be part of the conversation the whole time and will touch campaigns from conception to launch. You’ll have the freedom to grow with us, and the Buck will stop with you – we need a person who’s calm, cool, collected and doesn’t use the term “deadline” loosely.

Art Director needed In Halifax

We’re looking for a kick-ass Art Director to join our team in Halifax. Whether it’s traditional, digital, branding, experiential, social, content marketing or the next thing, your conceptual skills know no bounds, and you attack every project with a ton of energy and passion. At your core, you’re a big (we’re talking monumental) ideas guy or gal, and you probably have a few awards under your belt to prove it. You have a solid understanding of everything online, including a knack for spotting and developing trends in user experience. You’re comfortable working with and directing internal and external production partners to bring your ideas to life, as well as getting your hands dirty and doing it yourself. You view the entire world as your canvass (not just an 8.5 x 11 piece of paper), and have the skills to put together killer presentation decks that get your ideas sold.

As our Art Director, you’ll help lead our creative team, working closely with everyone at Famous Folks. We’re a tight-knit family, meaning you’ll have your incredibly artistic hands (and brain) on just about every project, and play a key role in the growth of our agency. As a member of our family, you’ll be the charismatic aunt or uncle that delights everyone around the dinner table, and not the creepy aunt or uncle that smells like cheap whiskey and scares all the children.

Sound like fun? We think so. And we’re looking forward to hearing from you. To apply, send your ’not a resume’ to careers@famousfolks.ca.
