PharmaChoice

Advice for sites.

/ Summary

Rapid growth, while pleasing to stakeholders, can often lead to significant challenges. Such was the case with PharmaChoice, whose website was failing to meet the high standards of its “advice for life” brand. Upon conducting extensive internal and external surveys — assessing the previous site, measuring against competitors, commenting on best/worst features, etc. — Famous Folks designed a new interface and expanded functionality.

With our research as a guide we proposed customizing the site so that a visitor’s nearest Pharmachoice could offer specific content to their local audience. A mix of corporate and local content gives visitors the sense that Pharmachoice is the pharmacy next door. A reduction in navigation choices and increased clarity in the labels has made finding the content you’re looking for easier and more rewarding. We then built a static prototype of the site as HTML templates and a custom-built Ruby on Rails web application was developed to run the site and CMS. Custom tools were developed to manage all aspects of the site's content.

The revamped site fully integrates with PharmaChoice’s evolving brand, including its TV campaign. In addition, the site uses geolocation to search for nearby stores, automatically customizing the site to one’s local PharmaChoice.
