Big plans are in the works for the prominent corner at South Park and Sackville streets in Halifax. A new YMCA facility and a residential mixed-use development are part of a proposed project being put forward by the YMCA of Halifax in partnership with the neighbouring CBC building. As a communications partner for the YMCA, Famous Folks came on board to help the Y tell its story with a new website and interactive presentation.
There was much to tell and much to be inspired by. The design of the new YMCA became the inspiration for the design of the website. The content let the audience become immersed in the story and discover the details of the development – from the YMCA’s vision to following the progress of the project. The interactive presentation brought the project to life with animation and graphics – a dynamic tool to showcase the development for community groups.
As the proposal moves through the approval process the site has become a key resource for engaging the public and keeping people up to date with the project. Visits have gone up 55% since the launch.
