Sometimes ideas come along that are too good not to try. That’s how we felt about Skin of Earth. The idea was this: create a streetwear fashion brand made from 100% ethically sourced materials, that would collaborate with influencers to promote charities they believed in, raising funds and awareness for deserving causes worldwide. To achieve this we developed a minimalist, streetwear-inspired brand that would influence all of the materials needed to get our idea off the ground.
2018 - 2019
We dove into subjects like existing charities, streetwear trends, the rising demand of ethical fashion, and the power of online influencers bringing awareness to causes they represent. What we discovered was that the pieces were already out there and that our task was to create a brand that could unite them into one movement.
With the global community increasingly receptive to activism and charity, we knew the time to move was now. We set to work developing the Skin of Earth identity system, with the goal of building a streetwear brand that could distinctly represent itself, while remaining stylistically neutral enough to work with any existing influencer or charity.
Through rigorous exploration and a collaborative internal process, the Skin of Earth brand was born. A bold and minimalistic streetwear identity, SOE quickly developed into a fully-fledged clothing line called the do good collection 00, which we would promote through an e-commerce website and digital content. Branded marketing decks were built to establish relationships between our 3 components, the charity, the influencer and the investor, and the system was set up to take off. Although still underway, our vision is to one day be the #1 purpose-driven brand in the world.
